Slab sided front like a range rover, Volvo rear end and the interior from a BMW X7. Taken the best parts from all three cars!

why is this vehicle starting at $31,000 in the US and in Canada its $45,000????????

Jonathan Fields thank u for your reply. Yes it’s suppose to be all in but there is usually a few other expenses added in. Have a nice day

The exchange rate at the time of writing this comment is C$1.33 = $1. So $31,000 is equivalent to C$41,428. The difference in cost can likely be accounted for with transportation, import, and customs fees (the Telluride is made in the US). Also, I believe that in Canada, the sticker price on a vehicle is supposed to be all-in where all fees are included (I could be wrong about this; I'm not Canadian). In the US that is not the case, so the sticker price is often a few thousand dollars lower than what a consumer would pay to drive the car off the lot.

I think this is a great vehicle but I went to test drive it. It drives great, great on gas. I found the seat stitching appeared to be cheaply done and what I considered is the longer wear of the interior. I like this vehicle but I need to give it 3 years to see how it holds up.

I know that's the old mentality from some of their early imports, but take a look at data from the last 5-10 years. They've been consistently in the top 10 brands for reliability and top 3-4 non-luxury brands. Not to mention best warranty in the industry.

Kia's are absolute unreliable trash. Spend a tiny bit more, get a Toyota or Honda. Better yet, get a slightly used Lexus or Acura. They will last decades longer, and the re-sale value will hold up more.

On resale, you're absolutely right. But kia/hyundai are up there on reliability now. Take a look at more recent data and not their reputation from the 90s. The most recent JD Power has kia more reliable than Honda actually. Dont get me wrong, they're all good, but it seems like Kia closed the gap and you missed it because they made a bad first impression decades ago.
